For clarity , the Roadmap below is our most current and planned set of Features and anticipated Publish Dates.
Please keep in mind, like with all things, something could potentially interfere with either features or the anticipated publish dates, resulting in a feature or timeline, being pushed later, or perhaps even being included / published sooner. Please keep this in mind as you look into our plans for the RTS Module for Game Creator 1.0

RTS Module 1.4

This specific version contains all of the previous version .improvements with the addition of these changes:

Publish DateTo be announced – Video  Drop Explaining upgrades coming, being investigated, reason for delay in upgrade, feature plans, etc, will be out in a couple days and posted here! I am excited to share updates in the video drop as shown above  🙂

Feature Improvement(s):

  • Upgraded Gathering System
    • Fully upgraded gathering system
      • More accurate and faster code equals better frame rate!
  • New Custom Character Models *1 
    • Designed to make testing the module easier and more fun
    • 2 unique designs, 1 male, and 1 female.
    • Each model allows for a team color to be assigned to the corresponding team color material, to make for easy identifying and prototyping!
  • New Custom Voice Effects *2 
    • Designed to make testing the module easier and more fun
    • 3 Unique voices, 1 Male, 1 Female, and even a Robot
    • More than 28 Unique phrases included!
  • New Custom Sound Effects *2 
    • Designed to make testing the module easier and more fun
    • 60 Unique custom designed sound effects
    • More than 7 Unique sound use categories including 
      • Weapon / Impact sounds, UI sounds, Mining sounds, and so much more!
  • New Custom Events System 
    • Events system with calls, set in a variety of areas through out of the script
    • Our Custom Call Backs for each event, allow you to further extend the code easily if you wanted, in a simple to understand way!
  • New Game Creator Triggers
    • We have developed over 30 custom triggers based off the new events system , for use in Game Creator
    • Designed to allow as much access to not only the game object triggering the event, but also game object colliding , if you so choose it to.
  • New Game Creator Actions
    • Custom advanced actions that allow you to control major aspects of the RTS Module, based off triggers. This means your in control if and when a actionable process happens.
      • Examples Actions will include:
        • Giving Resources to any player (even the enemy)
        • Buy Action allows you to buy any game object desired, with any resource, or resources you so desire
        • Wandering Controller Action allows you to control every aspect of a units ability to wander or not, all from an easy to use action
        • Gathering Controller Action allows you to control every aspect of a units ability to gather resources and even find new resources automatically, all from an easy to use action
        • Damage Unit Action is an action where you can damage, or even kill another unit, all through just an action!
        • and so much more coming soon!!
  • Additional improvements over varied scripts throughout the module
  • Additional ready-to-go prefabs
  • Custom Inspectors, and so much more!!

Bug Correction(s):

  • Correct accuracy of Gathering system. 
  • RTS Cameras (Basic and Advanced) GUI corrections
    • to be addressed in the next update

**Important Notice(s)!

*1 Although 2 custom models are included in this module, they are for testing and prototyping only and are not to be used in your commercial game. You are expected to replace our models with your own, before selling your software or giving it away. These models are the licensed property of Vexstorm Computers.. Please see our included license for further clarity if needed.

*2 We have included a number of custom sounds in our RTS Module to demonstrate the software in a more realistic way. These may be used in your published game ( commercially or free ) if you so choose, but can not be resold, separately. Please again refer to our included license for clarity if it is needed.
