Installing GameCatalyst in Your Unity Project

Estimated reading: 0 minutes 3 views

Here is the process:

  1. Import GameCatalyst into your Unity project. Open Unity and make sure the package is present in the correct project location.
  2. Open the Dashboard. Go to Tools > Vexstorm Studios > GameCatalyst > Dashboard.
  3. Click Install. GameCatalyst validates Python, prepares the central installation directory, installs what it needs, and creates the local databases and core services.
  4. Click Start. This brings the system online and begins the startup sequence that powers the development workflow.
  5. Verify health. The Dashboard status indicators should show you that the essential pieces are up and ready.

Why the install flow matters:

GameCatalyst does more than drop a few helper scripts into a folder. It is standing up a complete AI-to-engine orchestration workflow. That is why the Dashboard and status systems matter so much.

System requirements:

  • Unity 6000.3.10 or newer (any edition)
  • Python 3.10 or later (must be on your system PATH)
  • Internet connection for initial installation only
  • Approximately 50 MB disk space
