Tool Permissions

This area is a major part of the product story. It lets you decide what the AI is allowed to do. That means GameCatalyst is not just powerful — it is governable.
From the Tool Permissions settings, you can:
- Enable or disable individual commands — toggle any of the 60+ commands on or off
- Toggle entire command categories — enable or disable all Create commands, all Delete commands, etc.
- Set file system abilities — control whether the AI can create, edit, delete, copy, or move files, with each operation type gated independently
- Configure project-level overrides — different projects can have different permission profiles
This is the kind of practical control serious developers need. One project can be wide open for experimentation. Another can be locked down tight. You decide, and GameCatalyst respects those decisions at every level of the system.
Changes take effect immediately. No restart required.
